If we’re friends in Facebook, you already know this! I’m expecting someone wonderful. I’m 12 weeks pregnant. The time I find out I’m expecting, a lot of things run through my mind.
“I’m going to be a mom”
“I’m going to get so huge”
“Oh my gosh, kaya ko ba ito?”
“It’s going to cost so much money.”
“Hindi ko ata kaya?”
“Ano na ang gagawin ko?”
Andddd so much more.. Good thing is, I pretty much read everything I could get my hands about pregnancy and babies, like how to be healthy and help keep them healthy and growing and happy. You see, not all pregnant woman are cheerful. Blame it on the hormones. Getting enough rest, sleep, and pregnancy tips helped me feel better and refreshed.
Anyway, today, I fancied doing this “pregnancy update Q&A”, so here we have it!
How far along: 12 weeks and final week of my first trimester. Hooray!
Days until due date: 197 days until my due date.
The bump: Definitely out but still not noticeable unless I wear a fit tank top.
Weight changes: I have no idea
Stretch marks? None so far. I heard stretch marks will start around 13 weeks to 20 weeks of pregnancy. True that you can prevent and treat stretchmarks but genetics does have a lot to do with it too. I know many women that took excellent care of themselves and tried everything and they still got awful stretch marks. Since it’s in the genes, I will try to keep hydrated and moisturize my skin/belly.
Cravings: I’d crave for coffee a lot but too much caffeine can increase risk of miscarriage and I don’t want that to happen! First trimester is rough because of sudden cravings and it sucks, you know?
Sleep: I can’t lay on my stomach to sleep because of growing breasts are wayyy too tender. The peeing, low back pain, it’s crazy!
Symptoms: Just a queasy feeling in my stomach when the sun rises. There are times I will feel nauseated but water and candy lang, okay na ako.
Best moment this week: My recent TVS. I was VERY nervous but everything turned out great with our dancing baby. He was definitely a mover. I hope everything stays as good as this for the next trimester.
Worst moment this week: None!
Miss anything? Mom, of course! I will visit her this weekend.
Maternity clothes: I still wear non-maternity pieces. I bought few clothes from Dorothy Perkins last week. Hindi naman pang buntis, pero I think I can still wear it until my due date. Plus, I don’t want to spend a lot of money on maternity clothes because I don’t get to wear them all the time.
Movement: None as of the moment.
Gender: We don’t know yet! I’m really hoping for a girl.
Belly button in/out: Still in.
Wedding Rings on/off: Off.
Mood: In general, pretty great!
Looking forward to: Baby shopping! Im soooo excited to put cute little onesies on him/her. I just love all the baby clothes!
