Pregnancy Update: 22 weeks

I seriously can’t believe that this whole pregnancy thing is half way over.

How far along: 22 weeks and 1 day – halfway point of this journey. While the first trimester seemed to drag on and on, the second trimester has sped by so far.

Days until due date: 126 days until my due date.

The bump: Definitely out and I’m loving my cute baby bump. According to my baby is about the size of a banana. Ang cute!

Total weight gain: 11 lbs.

Stretch marks? I’m just over 22 weeks and I have them already! I was bothered at first but starting to realize how common they are and my husband minds them less than I do which does make it slightly easier to accept my changing body because I was pretty unprepared for any of it.

Cravings: No significant cravings since the first few weeks of second trimester. I’m still hungry ALL the time.

Sleep: Sleep has definitely been better for the last few months and as long as the room is cool enough I’m happy.

Symptoms: I’m just starting to notice more aches and pains that come with my growing belly. There are days when I feel an intense pain in my groin or inner left thigh whenever I move my legs.

Best moment this week: My husband’s tender loving care, pending fatherhood has turned him into a total teddy bear. He is so sweet and cute!

Worst moment this week: None!

Miss anything? Chocolates, ice cream!

Maternity clothes: I still wear non-maternity pieces. I am still able to wear most of my tops, jeans and leggings.

Movement: I started feeling the baby kick at the end of my 20st week. Since then it has increased a ton and I feel him moving a lot, especially in the mornings. The coolest thing about being pregnant, for sure.

Gender: We don’t know yet! My second trimester ultrasound is on Saturday, which means that in just a few days, we will find out if we’re having a little boy or a little girl.

Belly button in/out: Still in.

Mood: Pretty excited! It’s crazy how fast this has all happened, and just as quickly, our little one will be here.

Looking forward to: Finding out my baby’s gender! I just want to know!
